Stretching from the Great Smoky Mountains to Shenandoah National Park, this drive is a must-see in the fall. Enjoying a scenic drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains, stopping along the way to take pictures and see the gorgeous views, is one of my families favorite NC fall activities!

Another awesome option is to hike to waterfalls in the NC mountains! Not only are the hikes great, but the view of the waterfalls when you get there are amazing! Also, many of the spots have swim holes or places to cool off! Remember, when hiking in the fall, always check the weather and trail conditions. Dress in layers and bring plenty of water.
